Bryce Martin is a violinist and composer residing in the Boston area. He is active as a performer and teacher.
Bryce performs with ensembles such as New Bedford Symphony Orchestra, Plymouth Philharmonic, and Cape Symphony. As a teacher, he works with students at the Public Schools of Brookline in addition to a private studio.
In 2022, Bryce graduated from Florida State University with degrees in Performance and Composition, studying with Dr. Shannon Thomas and Dr. Liliya Ugay. Bryce studied with Bayla Keyes at Boston University, graduating with a Masters in Performance in 2024. Bryce has been honored to perform the 1st movement of Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto with the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, and in 2021 he performed the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto with the Florida State University Philharmonia. He served as concertmaster in Boston University's annual Symphony Hall performance in 2024.
As a composer, Bryce is interested in the music of film and video games, with his compositional style situated somewhere between Neo-Romanticism and post-tonality. Bryce has composed and arranged for symphony orchestra, string quartet, piano trio, solo violin, voice & flute, and wind quintet.
Bryce lives in Cambridge with his wife Jess and their dog Fred.
